Now, with Skype for Outlook.com, you can connect with your Skype and Messenger friends all in the same place also.
You need to download and install a plugin available for Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox to get started with Skype for Outlook.com.
When you finish downloading the plugin, you can connect Skype to Outlook.com using your Microsoft account.
Once you have connected with your Skype account, you can make and receive calls in your Inbox. You can do voice and video chat without leaving your Inbox.
To add all of your Skype contacts to Outlook.com contacts,just merge your Microsoft and Skype accounts and you’re off and running. Just click on the Skype audio/video call buttons in your IM conversation to make a call.
While reading an email from a friend on Outlook.com, you can make a call by moving the mouse on a friend’s picture then click on the Skype audio or video call buttons that appear above his or her contact details.
This preview version of Skype is launched only for UK users. In the coming months, the roll-out is complete and available in every Outlook.com Inbox.
